BOARD OF EDUCATION
Board Work Session – January 27, 2010
CALL TO ORDER
The work session was called to order by President Rick Wetzel at 5:30 p.m. with the following members present: Bill Blackburn, Rob Hunt, Archie Neil, Amy Nieman, and Mr. Wetzel. Also in attendance, were Superintendent Arseneau, members of DAC, and the District Leadership Team.
AGENDA
MOTION Blackburn, second Hunt, to approve the agenda as presented. MOTION CARRIED; Voting Aye – Blackburn, Hunt, Neil, Nieman, Wetzel.
PRESENTATION ON BOARDS END POLICY E-4 EXPLORTORY ACHIEVEMENT TO BOARD & DAC
High School Principal Del Garrick started off the presentation by reviewing the high school action plan followed by each building and then the District presentation to the Board of Education and members of DAC.
DINNER WITH HIGH SCHOOL STUCO
Discussion took place on whether to have a dinner meeting with representatives from the high school STUCO at the February 24th Work Session. After some discussion, it was decided to have the dinner meeting and Superintendent Arseneau will check with STUCO Advisor Sarah Kaka and Catering Teacher Abbie Duroux to set up the dinner for Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. Board Director Bill Blackburn will check on a free off-site location.
BUDGET CARRYOVER
The Board of Education discussed the resolution that was tabled from the January Regular Board meeting. After discussion, it was determined to have the resolution with modifications put on the February Regular Board meeting agenda as an action item.

MOTION Nieman, second Neil, to adjourn the work session at 9:00 p.m. MOTION CARRIED; Voting Aye – Blackburn, Hunt, Neil, Nieman, Wetzel.
